Description

This is a special edition Portuguese Yacht Club made in support of the Volvo Ocean Race. Taking place every three years, the sailing competition is the world's most prestigious circumnavigation event. Teams have to test their skill endurance in an voyage race across every ocean. IWC has sponsored the event twice, each time releasing a special edition Yacht Club watch. This year's version is silver plated, but for the 2011-12 race, IWC created this stunning carbon fibre dial, set in an astonishingly lightweight titanium case. The robust cal.89361 is visible through the exhibition caseback, which is engraved “Edition Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012”.
